Tuesday, July 27 -  Cosmetic Bag Class - (10AM - 2PM) - $25.00

Cosmetic Bag Class for the young and old.  (or older - LOL)  Kit Included!  Bring your sewing machine and let me show you how to make three really cute cosmetic bags.  Makes great gifts.  This class will be kid friendly. 

(8 years old and up.  Must know how to use sewing machine)

Wednesday, July 28- Matchless Star Class - (10AM - 4PM) - $45.00

Would you like to make a Lone Star quilt, but don't want to match all those little Diamonds?  This is the quilt for you.  Using random width strips eliminates the need for matching!  Fun and fairly easy to make.  Use up your scraps strips and make a star.  Pre-cut kits are available for this class.

As many of you know, Jodi Barrows is the inventor of the Square in a Square® ruler.  She will be teaching this technique with her Americana Quilt kit.  The kit will be available in 2 to 3 color ways.  The kit cost is $65.00.  Jodi also has her own line of fabric which is to die for.  We are carrying her kits and fabric in the shop.  Jodi has also written 3 novels as well as a number of other quilting books.  Read more of her bio below.

Jodi Barrows is a nationally known quilting teacher, speaker and writer, currently living in the North Texas area. Over the past twenty years, Jodi has remarkably touched thousands of quilters throughout the world with her unique method called Square in a Square®. Her point of view provides the quilter with the freedom to create most any quilt design with speed and accuracy.

Jodi has spoken to quilting audiences throughout the United States, Canada and Australia. She has appeared as a guest on several quilting shows, including TNN's Aleene's Creative Living; TNN's Your Home Studio; Perfecting Patchwork on Family Net TV and PBS series with Kaye Wood. HGTV has shown her commercial on the quilting techniques she has developed on the Simply Quilts show.

The Square in a Square system is a process that anyone can implement in most any design. Jodi has written fourteen books (ten of which have been on the best seller' list), produced four tools, two video/DVD's and five teacher's books. Additionally, she has a pattern book and fabric line based on a fiction novel she wrote from the 1865 time period entitled Leaving Riverton.

She also has a Certified Teacher's Program in the United States and Canada. Jodi has had numerous quilts appear in McCall's, The Quilter, Quick and Easy Quilt World, House of White Birch publications, Quilter's Newsletter Top Ten New Products and a Featured Teacher in the Traditional Quilter.

Basic Piecing 101 - (5PM - 7PM) - $60.00

Thursday, August 26th; Monday, August 30th; Tuesday, September 7th; & Thursday, September 16th

 

Attention all beginners.  If you have always wanted to learn how to quilt, but were afraid to try,

this is the class for you.  Gwen Alford will teach you how to use a rotary cutter and the proper techniques for cutting.  

The class is divided into 4 parts for the low cost of $60.00.  You will use a Jelly Roll

to make your first quilt.  Stop by the shop before class to pick up any supplies you may need.
